Google Wave

The reason why Google released Google Wave as an unfinished format

  • Allow programmers to design programs at an early stage e.g. games, admin tools.
  • They want to create the best messaging service which is continually being up dated and improved with the aim of being more users friendly.
  • Brainstorming ideas
  • Meeting agendas
  • Program creation
  • To foster a sense of community amongst those who had an input in creating the product. and build customer loyalty
  • To see the future and the capability of what Google are doing
  • Audience participation
  • Transparency
What Google want to happen

  • They want people to use their messaging service instead of rival services.
Rivals in the market

  • They take their prototype and have the end user of the product test it. They record the results of the test and make any amendments which are required and then create the final version which is distributed or in the case of a system implemented. Google is open source and free and allows anyone to use its services. They have a great sense of transparency, compared to a company such as Apple who are closed and secretive about their future plans.
Three products/tools that relied on collaboration and are distributed free.

  1. You have thought about the answers to the questions. However, rather than pasting the questions and your answers you might like to think about how to turn your very good ideas into an article. You could still use headings.
